Freedom

Yes, I do have a certain amount of freedom. So much happened in my family yesterday and I was at work. While I do have some regretts, I also know that I'm making sacrifices for my future freedom. This is a crucial element of the promotion of freedom, SACRIFICE!!!

A New Grandson

On April 23, 2009 I enjoyed experiencing the birth of Haile pronounced (Eye-lee) my first grandchild. I waited at the Hospital approximately four hours. The update came that she would start to push, and at 4:44 am I heard the cry of Haile from the hall. What a moment ahh!!!

Politics

What in the H is going on in this country? We have the third in line for the President under fire for accusing the CIA of misleading congress. I call for a national strike, to boot them out, all of them. 

Family

Isn't family just the best! I recently had the company of two fine, energetic young family members in my home. They did so much work, I was so pleasantly pleased. All the walls have new paint, and the trim par-excellent. Oh my, the carpet was torn up to expose the hard wood floors, and even though there is some refinishing work to do, I love the new look of hardwood. New lighting fixtures and correct arrangement of furniture and pictures on the walls give in to a fresh updated look. I'm currently working on removing the dated linoleum in entry (which covers more hardwood) and kitchen to eventually replace it. Whipping this house into shape!!! Lov'in it all!!

Wow, my baby is having a baby. And she's having a BOY!!!

SIMPLE GOOD FEELING

Had a great visit with the Doc. yeaterday. everything checked out fine. I'm about six months away from five years remission. At five years it's considered a cure, WOW WHAT A GREAT FEELING!!! While in the Sacramento area touched based with some old friends and got updates.

Visit to Portland, Or.

Hey,
It was wonderful to get away from the house, and go to the Portland area to visit my two daughters. What a relaxing time, although I did a lot of shopping. Yes, there is no sales tax there, so I had that advantage to purchase some of the items for the kitchen remodel. I'll have new cabinets by the end of the week. Anyway, the weather in Portland was great. We ate at some great restaurants, and generally had a great time. It was good to see the little baby bump developing on my oldest daughter, she is due in April. She and John have a nice place with 2bd and 2ba, in a nice neighborhood. The farmers mkt. is just a block away, I love that! Was able to walk along the river adjacent to downtown Portland with Hales. Could just imagine how beautiful and vibrant it would be in the summer. Even though there were many people enjoying the walk also. It was hard to leave, but know that all my kids were raised to take care of themselves, and fly away like butterflies. Had a great trip home, mostly rain, but still enjoyable.
